In many production industries such as building materials, metallurgy, chemical industry, environmental protection, etc., rotary kiln equipment is widely used for mechanical, physical or chemical treatment of solids, powders, gases and other materials. Such equipment and devices are called rotary kilns. The main equipment of the rotary kiln is the kiln shell. The kiln shell is the main body of the rotary kiln. The thickness of the kiln shell steel plate is about 40mm. The best insulation to prevent heat loss becomes the key to the rotary kiln. The traditional kiln shell is built with a layer of refractory bricks or silicon carbide bricks with a thickness of about 200mm in order to better keep the heat. There is an ellipse-shaped deformation, which will put pressure on the kiln brick and affect the life of the kiln brick insulation material. The rotary kiln shell is supported on two supporting rollers with a center angle of about 60° through the tire belt, and the deformation and cross-section of the cylinder are irregular oval. When the rotary kiln shell rotates, every point on the cylinder wall moves along the elliptical trajectory, so the size of the curvature is also constantly changing, so it also forces the refractory bricks in the shell to make corresponding changes, so that the kiln lining sometimes Squeezed, sometimes pulled. When pressed, the refractory bricks are crushed, and when they are pulled apart, the crushed refractory bricks fall off, which is easy to cause the lining of the refractory bricks, and the kiln must be stopped to replace the bricks, which affects the production. Therefore, the designed cross-sectional deformation of the kiln shell should be as small as possible, that is, the cross-sectional rigidity should be as large as possible.

3.After the cylinder body is assembled and welded, post-weld treatment is required, including non-destructive testing, post-weld heat treatment, and pressure resistance tests to ensure the production of high-quality kiln shell castings.
